You'll never believe it, but today LORDE was here! Just kidding. Today I did a bio clip workshop with Nicola. We were looking at a gifted person which was Lorde (Ella Yelich O'Connor). We looked at a video which showed the scholarly habits she has used (see the bottom of this post) and we discovered that she has used all of them! In the video it showed Lorde's old music teacher from when Lorde was at intermediate. After the video we had to look at which scholarly habits we are currently using then we had to write on a sticky note which scholarly habits we need to work on. Take a look at the scholarly habits and think: do you do this regularly, do you use this scholarly habit? That is all from me today so...

The eleven scholarly habits
Ponder Ideas: Keep thinking about things don't just think about it once and then leave it.
Intellectual risk taking: Think outside the box and take some risks.
Preparation: Always be prepared for anything.
Excellence: Take pride in what you have achieved.
Academic humility: Always stay humble and do not boast.
Curiosity: Keep trying to find even more out, there is always more to learn.
Save ideas: Write down your ideas so you don't forget them.
Multiple perspectives: Look at things different ways.
Perseverance: Always stick to your task and never give up.
Varied resources: If you want to find something out don't just look at one website or one book.
Goal setting: Always set goals and try to achieve them.

Interviewer, did you just say we have to be  an interviewer. How did I get myself into this mess? Just kidding, being an interviewer is so much fun!
Today we had to think of ten questions to ask a classmate to find out more about them. The questions had to be open questions, do you know what open questions are if you don't here is a short description of them: They are questions with detailed answers not just one word answers. My questions were
1. How are you like a lion?
2. How might your life be different if you didn't go to Enrich?
3. Who do you admire/ Who is your hero?
4. What do you want to be when you grow up and why?
5. What is your biggest wonder and why?
6. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time and why?
7. If you could only eat ten things for the rest of your life what would they be?
8. If you were stuck on an island and you could have five things with you what would they be?
9. What is your biggest fear and have you ever had an encounter with it?
10. Who is your favourite celebrity and why?

My buddy that I interviewed was Max and his answers were
1. I am Fast
2. I wouldn't get the right education
3. My mum and dad
4. An accountant because you get to do maths all day
5. What happens when you die?
6. I like playing video games because they are addictive
7. Chicken, wicked wings, chocolate mousse, ice cream sundaes, water, mountain dew live wire, seven up, snack burger, bread buns and triple cheeseburgers
8. A speed-boat, boat fuel, a jet, a helicopter, and helicopter fuel
9. It's a secret!
10. I don't really have one
Those were the questions and answers of my interview with Max.

 My Bucket List
1. Stick my head under an ice-cream machine and turn it on
2. Walk round and round in a revolving door.
3. Eat Italian meringue
4. Go to Auckland
5. Publish a book
6. Record a song
7. Meet someone famous
8. Become rich and own a mansion
9. Be on T.V
10. Get a pet monkey

What you have just read is my bucket list for my lifetime.
The one I would like to do the most is stick my head under an ice-cream machine and turn it on.
Today with Katie we had to write out our top ten things we would like to do in our lives. I really enjoyed doing it because it gave me a chance to use my imagination.
The activity was called
Thinkers key: Brainstorming key.

Thats all from me today.

"Quick we need to practice these songs!" Nicola said
This is why: Next week we are doing busking for performance and we have four songs to remember off by heart. The order we are doing them in is 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas', 'Deck The Halls' Then Max has a monologue and after that we are singing 'Ding Dong Merrily On High' and last but not least 'Jingle Bells'. I hope it all goes well!

I have a solo in 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas' and it goes like this: We wish you a merry christmas, we wish you a merry christmas, we wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year.
We were supposed to practice singing outside today but it was too wet. I wish we could have practiced outside. :(
Next week we will be getting the costumes sorted to look like fairies! Max will probably be dressed up as an elf.
Wish us luck! :)

What does Christmas caroling have to do with Enrich you ask. It all started at ten to eleven (when Talent Development started!) Nicola announced that we will be busking by singing in about three weeks! We are singing "Deck the Halls, We wish you a Merry Christmas and Jingle bells". I have a solo in "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and so does Violet.
I am so excited about the busking.

How does twister have anything to do with Enrich, you ask. Well ,it all started on Friday afternoon, it was time for art and since Katie had her office day Jenni was taking art. She said that we were doing tape art, which is when you put tape down in an abstract design on paper and paint around the tape and when the paint is dry you take the tape off.  Hopefully it will turn out something like this. ---------------------------->
So back to how twister has something to do with Enrich. When we were taking the tape off we had to be careful so we didn't smudge the paint and we had a huge tangle of hands pulling off the tape and it felt like we were playing twister.
