Today we did our Environment projects. Isabella and I wrote down what I'm going to say to Diacks nursery when we ring up to ask how much each plant costs. We also put together a keynote to present to  the city council to see if we can repair the gardens at Wachner Place. We really hope we can prepare for the presentation in time. Wish us luck:)

Hello today we did science with Katie and we did parachutes again. We switched partners I was with Destiny. This week we didn't use material this week we used plastic bags and balloons!



We got half an hour to get the parachute done. We got the following other materials to make the parachute:newspaper,sticky tape,scissors,skewers and vivids. 

Hi. At Enrich today we did new high interest stations! I did science with Katie and we made really awesome parachutes! Tessa and I were in a group. We used pink spotted material because it wasn't too light or too heavy! We used a cup, some string, a skewer and an egg. We tied the string to the cup and the material. We made the holes in the cup and the material with the skewer. We put the egg in the cup and we decorated the egg with coloured vivid! Our egg survived the fall.  Science was awesome!

Today at Enrich we did our high interest stations. I did science and we made lightbulbs!I was in a group of three - it was with Destiny and Tessa. First we had to tape eight batteries together, then we got a small cardboard roll and taped two wires to the roll and then we put a pencil led in the alligator clips that were on the wires. Next we put a jar over top and last of all we put the other ends of the wires to each end of the batteries. Then it was a lightbulb!!!!!!!

At Enrich today we went for a wander down to Wachner Place!        It was to get ideas for our environment project:) 
Some of the ideas I got were:painting murals on the blank walls and having a little rose garden because Wachner Place isn't very exciting:(

Today we designed a mural! We were in groups of four! We got some photos to stick on but we had to draw stuff too! The photos were kiwi icons like: pavlova, kiwis and gumboots!

Concept curriculum - Environment!

Today is the first day back for term three:)
I'm very glad to be back.

Today we learnt that our new concept curriculum for the next two terms is Environment:)The environment is your surroundings & what lives in your surroundings.The environment is the air we breathe,the water that covers most of the earth & the plants and animals around us!
