SOMA CUBES!!?? Help me I have no idea what Soma Cubes are!

These are Soma Cubes!

To create a shape like this out of Soma Cubes you need to have 7 shapes, one of each of the shapes above.  You can make them out of wood or plastic but make sure they can join together.

Today for our brain boosters session, I did Soma Cubes with Paul. I made a cube and two castles. There is an amazing website which is where I got the picture of the sofa. Browse the web for more Soma Cube creations.

IT'S FINALLY FINISHED! I have finally finished every last bit of my discovery project! I have stuck on every single picture and piece of information! YAY, YAY, YAY! I will give you a sneak peek ok, but don't tell anyone, it must be kept strictly confidential otherwise the other Enrich@ILT students might steal some of my secret plans and clever tricks. You can thank the enormous crocodile by Roald Dahl for that sentence. Ok here it is and remember, SHHHHH!

DISCOVERY, DISCOVERY, DISCOVERY!

I know I have been blogging about discovering a lot lately but this is breaking news. I have something I am dying to tell you!

Everyone has been asking Katie "When are the poster boards going to be ready?" Well today they finally arrived! 

I have figured out the layout of mine, and I have decided to paint my poster board blue, yellow and red.

There is still one problem, I have no idea what to wear or what to bring!!!

The week after next, is the spring fling! DUN, DUN, DUN! One more week to complete my ancestry project!

Not long now until the spring fling. I can't wait! I still have no idea what to wear and what food to bring! The good thing is, I have finished my family tree which means that I am ahead of everyone else. Next week I will be completing the immigrant task and then putting everything together on a poster board ready for the spring fling. The toughest thing about the discovering your past task is probably going to be the arranging and deciding what to wear. I am worried about fitting everything onto the poster board so wish me luck. I will be sure to keep you posted on all things spring fling (do you get it, posted because it's a blog post.)

While Paul was explaining the basics of garageband, I was thinking....tell me something I

don't know. Then Paul started talking about splitting and deleting parts of songs, it turns out that he had read my mind, he was telling me something that I didn't already know! Once he was finished explaining everything about garageband we got to have a go at splitting and deleting parts of Lorde's song, 400 lux. We also added beats to it and changed the volume. I learnt a lot more than I already knew about garageband today! I can't wait for next weeks session!

What is a digital footprint? I was asking myself the same thing not long ago until Katie clued me up on all things digital footprint. A digital footprint is what you leave behind after you have gone online. A digital footprint includes the things you have said or done on a game or website. These are some top tips to stay in the know about what you leave behind online. 1. Never give away any personal information such as: your full name, your address, your phone number or your password. 2. Treat your password like a toothbrush, never share it with anyone. 3. Make your password hard to crack so no-one will hack your account! 4. If you see something inappropriate let an adult know. Those were some top tips about internet safety. I hope you stick to those tips and use the internet wisely. Enrich@ILT. Today we started passion projects, YAY. We are creating our own news show called the Enrich@ILT news, it is pretty ironic considering we are from Enrich@ILT. Today we typed up the script and created our own logo! In the news we interview students, we tell you the weather, we tell you the day plan and for the first episode we are giving the viewers a tour of Enrich. The purpose of this passion project is to entertain inform and most of all to interest you in coming to have a look at Enrich. My partner Olivia is the weather woman for this project and the camera woman and I am the camera woman some of the time and I am also the host of the show. Hey I'm back again for Term 2 so bring on the Discovery. This term for discovery we are discovering our  family history! We are having a 'Spring Fling' to celebrate the different countries that we come from. For the 'Spring Fling' we have to make a presentation on our family history and dress up in traditional clothing from the country that we found out we are from. Wow, this term has gone fast. It is the last week of term one and I just can't believe it! Easter is just around the corner, multi-coloured chocolate easter eggs, YUM! You'll never believe it, but today LORDE was here! Just kidding. Today I did a bio clip workshop with Nicola. We were looking at a gifted person which was Lorde (Ella Yelich O'Connor). We looked at a video which showed the scholarly habits she has used (see the bottom of this post) and we discovered that she has used all of them! In the video it showed Lorde's old music teacher from when Lorde was at intermediate. After the video we had to look at which scholarly habits we are currently using then we had to write on a sticky note which scholarly habits we need to work on. Take a look at the scholarly habits and think: do you do this regularly, do you use this scholarly habit? That is all from me today so...

Interviewer, did you just say we have to be  an interviewer. How did I get myself into this mess? Just kidding, being an interviewer is so much fun! 
Today we had to think of ten questions to ask a classmate to find out more about them. The questions had to be open questions, do you know what open questions are if you don't here is a short description of them: They are questions with detailed answers not just one word answers. My questions were
